the week in short review:

- Monday had a great thanksgiving meal with great friends

- Had a great time Tuesday. old faces new faces, songs, stage dives. you know the drill and you know i love it.

 I'm also glad that my friends were able to escape a very serious accident without any tragedies. but sad to not see my big bro Jon Mcrae.

- My uncle passed away. He was old and i haven't seen him in years but  still a sad occurence. I'm told he left me a giant box of archie comics

- right now i'm going to Neil Young.

Monday - Private Screening of CBK's documentary at the kingshead

lots of familiar faces were present

a couple americans which cory was very happy to see 

but sad to have to say good bye.

tuesday - Nate and I went to go see Burn after reading.

we got some grub after wards.

Wednesday I went to VV with Mel and Steve

I didn't find anything good but Steve found this amazing jacket.

That's about where I'm at.

TIFFANY TIFFANY I'VE HAD AN EPIPHANY

As requested by Tiffany, a movie post. Free time is dangerous.
some movies i've watched:

1.LEBEN DER ANDEREN DAS aka THE LIVES OF OTHERS (2006)

Who's in it: German actors that neither you nor I are familiar with.

What's it about: Politics, invasion of privacy. Set in the 80's you know before the Berlin wall came down. When the German government controlled absolutely everything and people weren't allowed to speak out against said government.  History it's a wonderful thing. Anyway this film is about an Author who does speak out, his lover who is forced into having an affair with the "stasi" leader and a man who is hired to keep tabs on their every move.

Why its good: Because you can't help but feel for the man who is hired to spy on the couple. He is old and lonely, no friends and his entire life becomes watching these people's lives rather than living his own ( wah wah) It's Just like how I watch gossip girl because anything that happens in my life will never compare to those of the beautiful privileged upper east siders. sigh

why its bad: It's not. it has subtitles but if you don't like that, it's probably because you can't read.

2. LOVE ACTUALLY (2003)

who's in it : hugh grant, liam neeson, billy bob thorton, mr. bean

what's it about : Love. romantic comedy. a bunch of little scenarios about love where all the characters are connected. Hugh grant for example is the newly appointed british priminister and falls for one of his staff who oddly enough resembles monica lewinsky .

why its good: because it's cute and each story is heart warming. and because i'm a sucker for any moving ending in xmas cheer. 

why its bad :because we all know love is a sham and i've never had a christmas with happy of an ending.

3. GANGS OF NEW YORK

who's in it : Leo Dicaprio( who Julia just revealed to me having a life long crush on and also that when she thinks of him in titanic she is still close to tears) Daniel Day lewis ( genius)  and Cameron Diaz

What's it about : New York 1863 battle of the turf.  Leo comes back to the five points to seek revenge on Daniel Day Lewis who killed his father and  is the leader of five points.

why its good: Because movies about gangs are always good and its like the warriors but set in 1863.

why its bad: because Leo really need to stop playing Irish roles and Cameron Diaz really needs to stop acting all together, even if her role as an Irish thieving whore is relatively believable.

Occasionally there are Wednesdays in life where you don't start work until the

late afternoon. And on these wednesdays a friend may ask you and another to join them

in enjoying a delicious breakfast or brunch. This occurrence is just one of the many

things that make up or that can lead to  a wednesday friends day.

Later on in the evening I attended a show at the park theatre
